Difference between project requirements and project goals

Hello, I am just thinking, what is difference between project goals and project requirements ? Project requirements are the technical description of the project and project objectives (goals) are benefits ?

  1. Hey Ivan, Thank you for question. The project goal is the reason for project realization. Project goal keeps the focus on what is most important, and also describes the the long-term effects. Example: The project will contribute to improving communication with company clients. Project delivers the IT solution as described in the SW Requirements Specification within the budgeted cost by 22 Dec 2018.

  2. Project requirements are requirements of the interested parties. Requirements describe features, and functions of the product and/or service that will meet the business and stakeholder requirements. Requirements examples: 1. The user shall be able to select a client based on company and client lastname. 2. SW Module displays selected company as a link to client history: offers (a), contracts (b), invoicing (c), and marekting communication (d)
