How to avoid micromanaging

   One strategy is letting your team work independently, within reason, until they make a mistake, then you can look into managing on a more detailed level. Of course making any mistakes is not desirable but a manager has to know where the team’s strengths, weaknesses and limitations lie in order to know what type management style is required. The best way to find failure areas is to actually fail. Micromanaging is usually problematic. As a reminder, the manager’s objective is not to “control” per say, but inspire, lead and guide their team without being involved with every single piece.
