   Work on: - understand the contractual and technical scope of the Project - use lessons learned from the previous Projects - cooperate with the skilled colleagues - use this approach: * define problem * propose corrective measure * elaborate small/short table PROS - CONS * provide above mentioned facts in the in scope of A4 to the PM

How to Deliver Results and Earn Trust Customer Obsession: They must work vigorously to earn and keep customer trust. they should also pay attention to competitors always. Taken Ownership: We need to take ownership. think long term and don’t sacrifice long-term value for short-term results. They act on behalf of the entire company, beyond just their own team. They never say “that’s not my job" How to Deliver Results: They should focus on the key inputs for their business and deliver them with the right quality and in a timely fashion. Despite setbacks, they rise to the occasion and never settle. Earn Trust: They should listen attentively, speak candidly, and treat others respectfully. they need to be vocally self-critical, even when doing may be awkward or embarrassing.They should benchmark themselves to be the best. operate at all levels, stay connected to the details.

   It is hard to define the universal answer. However, you are on a good way to become a good project manager when you are asking good questions to the right people or place like this portal. Each project manager is unique with their own skills and most of them can use own strengths for leading the project to the successful deliverables. You should develop your personal strengths. Be one step before your colleagues, to see the project from birds eye perspective with the feet on the ground, with project stakeholders around you. You should look for any whitepapers about project management. When you are young, you can attend IPMA Young Crew seminars (ipma.world). You can find a lot of documents when you are interested in PMI methodology on pmi.org or Prince2 methodology on e.g. axelos.com.

   I would say to keep focusing on the project. I have seen many young project managers dived into paperwork and beautiful presentations instead of focusing on problems related to the project. Their paperwork was amazing, the status update was delivered always first, they were pleasing all managers with all kind of statistics and graphs but the project itself failed miserably. They never used common sense, they never asked themselves whether this project can really be delivered with no delay, with no over budget and with requested quality. So, it is necessary to go into details, discuss with customer, use lesson learn, take responsibility for delivering and make sure it will be delivered. That all requires discussion and close coordination with people who will be delivering particular tasks.

   I can categorize the key areas but it's also up to you what kind of manager you want to be. Technical skills: In my opinion this should be the harmony of the area that you are interested in and what markets/customer needs. Communication/Stakeholder Management Skills: one of the key and important one - it's important to know how to manage/influence/negotiate/conserve with team, third parties or customer. You can have all the other important skills but if you do not have a professional and impressive way of communicating and managing your stakeholders, rest will not work properly. People are the key. Organization Skills: Ability to observe the environment and adjust the governance to organize project teams to work at their best. Leading by example with coordinated and disciplined ways or working.

   As a teacher at the university, I see several important skills like how to properly communicate with the customer or stakeholders; how to distribute work and responsibility supporting the motivation of the project team members; how to think and identify the important risk and especially how to prevent or minimize their impacts. But the essential thing is to understand that it is not possible to become a good project manager right after school without any practical experience - it takes time and requires things/skills/practices mentioned by others.
