Project office is a part of the project organization with appropriate equipment and personnel.

Recommendation

Project office is responsible for good quality and integrated methodical and information support for the project manager. It is established especially for complex projects of the permanent organization without own project management office. Its activities are: • to elaborate the model of the project management plan and to require its correct and consistent use, • to keep up the project register, • to keep up the project resources including the specialists, • to support the project manager in elaborating the project documents (e.g. the project definition report, project management plan, project closure report etc.), • to render professional consultations and training for the project management.
