Proximity of risk is determined as anticipated period from the project schedule, where the risk can appear, e.g. project phase or project stage. Knowledge of risk proximity enables efective risk management with an emphasis placed on next risks. Proximity of risk is a statement in the project risk and opportunities register. It increases the risk importance also from psychological point of view.
