PM method and/or PM competence?

What is the main difference between PRINCE2 (or Method 123, TenStep etc.) and ICB or PMBOK?

Impact

A certificate from study of PRINCE2 is not equivalent to the certificate of project management professional competence.

Recommendation

Project management methodics is a specific set of methods and tools for management of projects, programs and portfolios. The examples are HERMES, Method123, PRINCE2, TenStep etc. PMBOK and ICB are a description of professional competencies, which does not define specific practices for project management but by contrast leaves the selection of the project management methodics in the project manager’s competence.
