Project black box is a device for recording the conversations of project manager, project team members, project stakeholders and for recording the data about project progress. Project black box helps to obtain the inputs for the project management report.

Recommendation

Project black box using is based on following rules: 1. project team member can be only a person, which agrees with using the black box for all conversations with regard to given project, 2. all project team members have updated project management plan, updated project plan and records of previous conversations, 3. at beginn of each conversation the project black box is activated and at the end the complete record is saved without additional adjustments, 4. for solving possible disputes or elaborating the project lessons learned the record is decisive, not additional assertions.
