Project management plan is a basic document, in which the project owner or the project manager defines (in contrast to the project plan) the tasks and management processes for project initiation, planning, execution and control as well for project closure inclusive project marketing.

Recommendation

Project management plan is called also the project manual. The project management plan quality is reflecting the fulfillment of agreed interested parties requirements for all parts of the project management plan. The real project management is described in the project management report. Project management plan with detailed project management map is in the manual for professional project management.
