Success Problem

Some consulting and educational organizations entitle their confirmations about absolving their courses as „certificates“.

Impact

Owners of such quasi certificates experience unpleasant disappointment, if the potential employer demands the certificate in accordance with ISO/IEC 17024:2012 "Conformity assessment - General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons".

Recommendation

The preparation of the applicants for professional competence certificate is not allowed to be a part of the certification process. The assessors must be in-dependent from commercial and other interests and from any present or past coupling to the applicant. The demands for professional competence have con-crete pattern (knowledge and abilities) and are not joined with specific educa-tional organizations and persons.
